my 6-inch Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope from my Manhattan rooftop

Saturn
Note: this is a terrible picture. Saturn looks indescribably better when you
are looking directly through the telescope (the same is true for Jupiter below).
Jupiter

Above: high magnification view. Note the black dot just left of center on the
lower thick red stripe. That is a shadow cast by the passage of one of Jupiter's
moons in front of the planet.
Below: lower magnification. The dots are Jupiters moons
